FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydro acoustics, particularly to means of detecting leaks. Method comprises reception and registration of ambient signal acoustic noise in frequency range of appropriate intrinsic frequencies of pulsations of bubbles in liquid, breaking down signal to sub-bands, filtration, calculation of spectra of and plotting spectrograms. At that, spectral components are recovered with exponentially decays amplitude, determining frequency fR, filtration considering frequency fR filter, treatment time signal, amplifying and radiation repeated reception and band-pass filtering ambient signal acoustic noise with central frequency filter fR and selection in it scattered bubble signals by calculating noise signal spectrum and plotting spectrograms. Detection of gas leaks are recorded at first appearance in spectrograms of spectral components of pulsed signals with symmetric exponentially increasing attenuation in time and amplitude with duration of periods of the sound field twice exceeding the duration of emission pulse, and filling frequency fR, and localisation of point of gas outlet is made using triangulation method.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, reliability and accuracy of control.
