FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to field of automation and remote control of railway sector. Satellite terminal is designed to be installed on board a train is configured for receiving navigation signals from satellites belonging to one or more satellite navigation systems. Said satellite terminal is characterised in that it is moreover configured for storing georeferencing data of a railway route of train and for determining, based on georeferencing data stored and navigation signals received, a position of train along railway route and an integrity level associated to said calculated position. System comprises said satellite terminal and is designed to be installed on board a train, acquiring from an odometer installed on board a current estimate of position, current assessment of situation and receiving exact position of train from alarm system installed along railway route, as well as possibility of correcting current situation assessment.
EFFECT: increase of reliability in train positioning and traffic safety.
