FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method of increasing accuracy of determining angle of arrival of radio waves relates to electrical measurements and can be used when investigating propagation of radio waves on open routes. Novel in method of increasing accuracy of determining angle of arrival of radio waves is initial generation of HF oscillations with first frequency in first channel of interferometer and oscillations with second frequency in second channel of interferometer. High-frequency oscillations are emitted through interferometer antenna in direction of third antenna, where signals are received, transformed by frequency and re-emitted in reverse direction. In channels of interferometer said high-frequency oscillations are secondary are received and mixed with initial oscillations. At that, phase difference of combination low-frequency components is measured and memorised. At second stage in first channel of interferometer high-frequency oscillations with second frequency are generated, and in second channel of interferometer oscillations with first frequency are generated. Phase difference combination of low-frequency components is measured again and arithmetic average of current measured phase difference and stored earlier is taken. Angle of radio waves arrival is determined with high accuracy based on by obtained average angle of phase difference.
EFFECT: high accuracy of measuring angle of arrival of radio waves.
