FIELD: aviation; radio engineering.

SUBSTANCE: novel method for automatic alignment of aircraft lengthwise axis with axis of landing strip (LS) is placing in runway plane along its axis of several repeaters, each of which by their antennae initially receives initial high-frequency oscillations, frequency shifts to its certain frequency and their antennae secondary emits in direction of primary radiation antennas arranged on wing planes. Two antennae of aircraft interferometer transformed high-frequency oscillations are secondary received and mixed with initial high-frequency oscillations, as a result, in each channel of aircraft interferometer selected combinatorial low-frequency components of difference between initial and transformed high-frequency oscillations. Selected in each channel of interferometer low frequencies equal to shift frequencies introduced by each relay. Measuring phase difference between low frequencies selected in each channel, angle of arrival of radio waves from each of relay is measured. By control of aircraft so that signal at output of each phase meters is maintained at zero level, matching of aircraft lengthwise axis with LS axis is obtained.

EFFECT: method for automatic alignment of aircraft lengthwise axis with axis of runway can be used in organization of aircraft automatic homing and landing on LS.
