SUBSTANCE: package comprises the chamber in which a beverage or food product is prepared by adding water to a composition for preparing the beverage or food product, an inlet opening for adding water to the chamber and an outlet opening for discharging the prepared product. The composition for preparing a beverage or food product comprises one or more ingredients of the beverage or food product and means promoting preparing, which comprises a plurality of bodies formed from a substantially insoluble and impermeable material. The bodies are characterised by a diameter ranging from 0.1 mm to 200 mm, preferably in the range from 1 mm to 20 mm or in the range from 100 to 200 mm.

EFFECT: invention enables to optimise the preparation of beverages and food products due to increasing extraction, increasing foam or froth, to improve the dissolution of the ingredients and separation of solids.
