FIELD: shipbuilding.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, particularly to ice-breaking ships intended for laying wide channel, which provides safe piloting of heavy-tonnage vessels in ice. Proposed ice breaker, which includes a housing consisting of main head body and associated with help of rigid board platform arranged symmetrically from centerline of two lateral hulls arranged shifted downward from head body, and having inclined stem and reclined boards, head housing is equipped with propulsion-steering complex, and lateral hulls-screw propellers, attachment of head body to connecting housing rigid platform is realised via linkage providing possibility of rotation of said body in plane of waterline relative to ship centerline plane through angle not less than ±15°, and propulsion-steering complex head body is made in form of a rotary rudder with possibility of rotation around its vertical axis at an angle of not less than ±90°.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of controllability of multi-hull ice-breaking ship during formation of ice-channel, as well as icebreaking capability in reverse.
