FIELD: ship building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shipbuilding, in particular to ice breakers and tugboats, intended for operation in ice. Proposed is an ice breaker, in the after rake of which there is a propulsion-steering complex with propulsion units installed on the shafts and located symmetrically parallel to the DP, and a full-rotary screw-steering column (SSC) with a propeller, installed in the DP, shifted to the stern from the plane of the propulsion unit discs of the ship. According to the first embodiment, the ice breaker is equipped with a full-rotary SSC, located in the nose in the bow in the DP, equipped with a pulling propeller, located on the shaft of the SSC in front of its gondola with the end edges of the blades not projecting beyond the main plane of the ship, and installed in such a way as to ensure rotation of the SSC by 360° around its axis of rotation and protection of the screw from interaction with the ice field. According to the second embodiment, the ice breaker is equipped with a full rotary SSC located side-by-side in the bow symmetrically to the DP.
EFFECT: technical result is improved maneuverability of the ice breaker when operating both ahead and in reverse, increased ice qualities and stability of reverse movement, as well as improved efficiency of cleaning berths from ice and ship shacks in ports and in open water areas.
