FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sliding element used in internal combustion engine, having at least one surface of wear-proof coating. Wear-proof coating contains from inside towards outside adhesive layer (10), containing a-C:H:Me DLC-layer (12) and free from a-S:H DLC-layer (14, 16), where a-C is amorphous carbon, H is hydrogen, Me is metal; wherein free of metal DLC-layer at least at some areas is doped with nitrogen. Nitrogen content in free from metal DLC-layer is graduated to form transition from alloyed section to non-alloyed section and exceeds 5 at% and/or maximum makes 40 at%.
EFFECT: sliding element is provided, which improved in relation to combination of friction coefficient and properties ensuring wear resistance.
