FIELD: engine devices and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: coating from the inside to the outside has a metal-containing adhesive layer and a DLC layer. The DLC layer is non-hydrogen layer consisting of amorphous diamond-like carbon layer that pass a basic DLC layer which is extended from the adhesive layer to the subsequent coating DLC layer, and has carbon content greater than about 98.5 at %, oxygen and/or hydrogen and/or nitrogen content is in each case less than about 0.5 at %, and the ratio of carbon sp2/sp3 is between about 1 and about 3. The non-hydrogen layer of amorphous diamond-like carbon has a coating DLC layer which is extended from the basic DLC layer to the surface of the sliding element and, as compared with the basic layer, has a lower carbon content, and/or higher oxygen content and/or higher hydrogen content, and also contains metals and/or metal oxides and has carbon ratio sp2/sp3 between about 1 and about 3.
EFFECT: increased mechanical and tribological properties of elements, in particular, piston rings for internal combustion engines.
