FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing ozone, involving electrolysis of aqueous solution of ammonium fluoride acid with concentration of 30-40 % NH4HF2, implemented in a diaphragm cell with anode of glass carbon at anode current density lower than 1.8 a/cm2 in conditions of cooling system of electrolyte-electrodes in temperature range of 0-30 °C. Method is characterised by that process is performed at anode current density of 0.05-0.3 A/cm2, and anode is cooled to temperature +10 ± 5 °C.
EFFECT: as a result, two oxidants are obtained: ozone and additionally oxygen difluoride, which in practice significantly affects efficiency of processes, for example, water or water treatment.
