FIELD: complex treatment of natural water and sewage including purification, decontamination and deodorization; electrochemical treatment; purification of highly concentrated industrial sewage.
SUBSTANCE: treatment of water is performed in cathode space of electrolyzer by means of combined cathode consisting of nickel grid and carbon-graphite fibrous material used as sorbent and catalyst at cathode density of current of 5-25 A/sq m at application of external voltage or without it at continuous ejection of ozone-oxygen mixture in counter-flow at concentration of ozone of 2-17%-mass in presence electrically generated hydrogen peroxide. Treatment may be performed in cathode space by means of combined cathode containing additionally porous fluoroplastic. Process with application of external voltage is performed by means of combined cathode at simultaneous regeneration of carbon-graphite fibrous material. Combined cathode may be used as self-contained technological unit.
EFFECT: intensification of process; reduced power requirements; reduced consumption of materials; extended functional capabilities.
