FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to microbiology, and is intended for control of sterilisation of materials and articles. Biological indicator for control of sterilisation consists of a container for culture with rubber cylindrical plug and container with nutrient medium in form of strip with metering device. Plug is made with variable-section channel inside. Inlet part of channel has diameter equal to outer diameter of strip feeder. Output section has diameter equal to inner diameter of strip dosing unit. On outer side of plug output section channel is made in form of collar with notch.
EFFECT: using invention provides the aseptic conditions for transfer of culture after sterilisation in nutrient medium without additional tools and conditions, including for high-temperature types of sterilisation; no contamination by test organisms, dehydration of nutrient medium indicator, which can influence period of incubation.
