FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for intensive plastic deformation by torsion. For grinding of metal microstructure and improvement of their micro-hardness, strength and plasticity, method involves compressing and torsion to produce shear deformation, workpiece deformation is carried out on Bridgman hammers with application of specific pressure of 3-6 GPa and subsequent rolling head rotation about its axis at a rate of 0.2-1.5 rpm, and during rotation of striker is smooth change of temperature, but not higher than 0.4TPL metal or alloy , as well as temperature change depending on modes of deformation.
EFFECT: intense plastic deformation of torsion.
