SUBSTANCE: first and second metal parts, at least one of which includes a metal panel, and a self-adhesive strip are used. First metal part includes a first metal panel with first part of car body and first edge along edge of first part of car body adjacent to first edge of first part of car body. Second metal part includes a second metal panel with second part of car body and second edge along edge of second part of car body adjacent to second edge of second part of car body. Self-adhesive strip contains thermosetting compound containing a mixture of first and second epoxy compounds and an epoxy curing agent. Average molecular weight of first epoxy compound is not less than 1000 g/mol and it contains epoxy groups in amount of 5 to 10 mol%, and average molecular weight of second epoxy compound is not more than 400 g/mol. Weight ratio of first epoxy compound to second epoxy compound varies from 0.8 to 4. Strip is arranged between said first and second metal parts and connected to form a metal joint. Metal joint is heated to allow thermal shrinkage of thermosetting compound of self-adhesive strip.

EFFECT: achieving strong attachment of connected parts to allow requirements to impact resistance, relative elongation at break and corrosion resistance.
