SUBSTANCE: surgical suturing instrument comprises a handle with a drive and an end effector. End effector comprises a proximal end, distal end and a long axis extending between proximal end and distal end. End effector comprises a first branch configured to support a staple with legs and a second branch supporting matrix element opposite staples. One of said branches can move towards another for engagement of matrix element with legs of said staples. Suturing instrument comprises a cam operably coupled with a drive. Cam is configured to move along a longitudinal axis for deformation of legs of staples.
EFFECT: tool facilitates operation in difficult to access places.
