FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used for tissue incision and suturing with staples. Surgical suturing system comprises multiple fasteners and a retaining matrix. Each fastener comprises a base and a foot with a tip extending from the base. Retaining matrix comprises the first side facing the bases of the fasteners, the second side facing in the opposite direction from the bases of the fasteners, and multiple retention elements configured to engage the foots. Suturing system additionally contains a coating able to cover the ends of the staples.
EFFECT: coating may contain a sheet of material and/or multiple caps.
