FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied to align two-dimensional images with three-dimensional volumetric data. This invention consists in that three-dimensional volume data of object are provided containing coordinate system; first and second direction of conversion is set relative to three-dimensional volume data, which together form conversion plane relative to three-dimensional volume data; two-dimensional image of object is provided with image plane; and conversion plane is projected onto image plane; coordinate system is levelled with two-dimensional image, in which at least one value of levelling interaction is projected onto conversion plane in order to determine at least one converted interaction value; and coordinate system is transferred by means of at least one converted interaction value.
EFFECT: technical result is providing two-dimensional to three-dimensional aligning by simple sequence of actions.
