SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a locking device (10), particularly for a container (110) for transporting radioactive materials, comprising the first and second components (12, 14), each having a comb-shaped portion (20, 22). A bolt element (26) penetrates the comb-shaped portions in the locking position of the locking device. To prevent damage due to mechanical impact stress and shear stress and provide sufficient clearance between the elements forming the locking device without the need to accept shortcomings with respect to locking, it is proposed that the bolt element (26) has a head (30) with at least one receiving recess (36, 38), extending across the longitudinal axis (27) of the bolt element, at least one of the components of the locking device has the through-hole (42) which, upon the penetration of the comb-shaped portions by the bolt, is oriented at least towards one receiving recess (36, 38), and in the locking position of the locking device the element (50), which partially passes through the receiving recess, is fixed in the through-hole.
EFFECT: high reliability and improved container performance.
