SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of monitoring and diagnosing of automatic control systems and their components. Method comprises pre-recording reaction of a good system on an interval at control points and determining integral estimates of output signals to be recorded, number of units of system, determining integral estimates of output model signals for each control point and each of positions of input signal, obtained as a result of changing position of input signal after each of blocks, which is recorded, determining standardised values of integral estimates of output model signals obtained by shifting position of input signal to position after each of corresponding units, replacing system with nominal characteristics of controlled input of which is similar to input signal, determining integral estimates of signals of inspected system for control points for integration parameter, determining deviation of integral estimates of signals of inspected system for control points from nominal values, determining standardised values of deviations of integral estimates of signals of controlled system, determining diagnostic features, at minimum value of diagnostic feature index number of defective unit.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of computational costs associated with implementation of deviations of model signals of models with changed position of input signal.
