SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the diagnosis of automatic control systems. In the method of searching for a faulty unit in a continuous dynamic system based on changing the position of the input signal and analysing transmission signs, determining signs of deviations of integral estimates of output signals of the monitored system for control points from nominal values, calculating normalized values of deviation marks of integral estimates of output signals of the monitored system, determining signs of deviations of integral estimates of output signals of the model. Besides, normalized values of signs of deviations of integral estimates of output signals of the model, obtained as a result of trial deviations of parameters of blocks are calculated and diagnostic signs of presence of faulty structural unit are calculated.

EFFECT: higher noise immunity during diagnostics.
