FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electroplating and can be used for application of chromium coating on internal surface of pipes. Method of electrolytic chromium plating of pipe inner surface in flow electrolyte comprises feeding electrolyte inside horizontal tube with anode, wherein chromium is performed to produce transition, milk and solid layers of chromium coating using electrolyte, free from nano diamonds, or electrolyte containing 2-15 g/l of nano diamonds, wherein direct current is used, tube is continuously rotated and anode is arranged with eccentricity relative to axis of rotation of pipe.

EFFECT: obtaining efficient method of chromium plating with simple equipment with provision to create multilayer coating and expansion of functional capabilities owing to creation of conditions for producing not only uniform characteristics of coating layers on length of coated surface, but simultaneous achieving flexibility of coating properties within limits of its cross section both from layer to layer, and within specific layer in accordance with existing need.
