FIELD: optics; data processing.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marine geophysical researches and can be used for survey of geomagnetic field in water area for purpose of examination of specific abnormalities of geomagnetic field with high accuracy for solving specific applications of armed forces and national economy. Present invention comprises generating magnetised pulses on towed nacelle with specified parameters of magnetic pulse sources, and on towed ship measuring using three component magnetometer, axes (x, y, z) of which are oriented relative to diametral plane of towed ship, and stabilised in horizon, magnetic field intensity in presence and absence of created magnetised pulses, survey of geomagnetic field in water area is performed along closed specified survey tacks are started each survey tack with passage of nacelle with magnetometer through location of reference magnetic item and its passage of nacelle with magnetometer at same support magnetic station or another supporting magnetic point, measured intensity of geomagnetic field magnetometer when passing through reference location of nacelle magnetic station at beginning and end of separating tack, determined by successively increment of selected adjacent values of measured voltages of geomagnetic field along separating tack, starting from measured value on supporting magnetic point and ending with measured geomagnetic field intensity at second support magnetic station or at initial point obtained data, true values of geomagnetic field intensity and true geodesic coordinates thereof in water survey area.

EFFECT: high accuracy of surveying geomagnetic field in water area using towed magnetometer.
