FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: railway vehicle comprises in end zone end cross member (EQT) and located vertically, outgoing from end cross beam corner pillars (ES). At end side there is deformation zone (VZ), which contains spaced in parallel to end cross member in direction of end of front cross member (FQT) and a force transmitting element (KUE) located between end cross member and front cross member, transmitting longitudinal compression force between them to certain value without plastic deformation and destruction in case said value is exceeded. Force transmitting element is made of an X-shaped arrangement of plates and with line of intersection of X-shaped plate is disposed transversely to longitudinal direction of vehicle.
EFFECT: creation of rail vehicle with attached deformation zone, which, on one side, can withstand high axial compression force on other side, has good characteristics of deformation systems, in particular, also with geometrically not compatible vehicles, and there is especially to make vertical ends of cars.
