FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: rail vehicle (1) includes at least one deformation zone located in each case on the face side, consisting of a collision frame (2), a plurality of deformation elements (3) and two front columns (4). Deformation elements (3) are oriented radially around the front structure of wagon body (5) and in each case at one of their ends are connected to wagon body (5). Collision frame (2) connects the ends of deformation elements (3) turned away from wagon body (5) and is located in the form of an arc around the front structure of wagon body (5). Front columns (4) in each case pass between wagon body (5) and collision frame (2) and are fixedly connected to collision frame (2).
EFFECT: improved protection is provided for passengers and the operator, in particular even for non-axial collisions or in collisions with vehicles of different designs.
