SUBSTANCE: invention relates to draw-buffing gears of railway vehicles. Draw-buffing gear comprises a connecting rod and a device that absorbs energy. Energy absorbing device is disposed along the connecting rod between the coupler and the frame of the car. Energy absorbing device comprises a damping element and a deformable protective device disposed on one axis. When the permissible load is exceeded, the protective device is destroyed, protecting the damping element.

EFFECT: simplified design and reduced size of the draw-buffing gears.
