FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport. Integrated self-supported and strain-resistant driver cabin structure (10) to be installed on front end of rail vehicle body and to create space for driver and opening for windshield consists of composite sandwich structure with single common continuous layer of outer shell, single common continuous layer of inner shell and inner structure completely covered by layers of inner and outer shells and glued to them. Inner structure contains multiple elements of core. Driver cabin structure contains at least side pillars and chassis structure on bottom end of each side pillar. In the side pillars, fibre-reinforced sandwich structure is located to create high bending rigidity. Fibre-reinforced sandwich structure of chassis transmits static and emergency loads without flexural buckling. Modular structure (10) of rail vehicle front end contains integrated self-supported and strain-resistant driver cabin structure and distributed upper energy absorption facility (20) consisting of cross-member, continuously passing from one side pillar to other. During integrated self-supported and strain-resistant driver cabin structure manufacturing, unitary matrix material is introduced into reinforcing fibres of shell layer and into core materials, and the latter is subjected to polymerization or hardening.
EFFECT: higher structural rigidity and strain resistance.
