FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in thermal and physical examination of heat shielding coatings. Disclosed is apparatus for determining thermal conductivity coefficient and long-term performance of heat shielding coatings, comprising a vacuum chamber and a sample heating source with heat shielding coating. Source of heating sample with heat shielding coating used is a plasma generator located in a vacuum chamber so that plasma flow is directed on heat shielding coating of sample. Sample with heat shielding coating is installed in cover of cylindrical housing for cooling sample. Cover on side of plasmatron is equipped with thrust collar to place sample with heat shielding coating, and at opposite side, fasteners to fix sample between collar of cover and cylindrical housing. In cylindrical housing there is a central channel for supply of cooling water sample and at least two channels for discharge of heated water from sample located symmetrically and at equal distance from central channel. In central and one of discharge channels there are thermocouples. Inner surface of cylindrical housing and sample surface form a cavity communicated with central channel and channel for water drainage. On end surface of cylindrical housing on side of sample there is a groove with a sealing ring.
EFFECT: high accuracy of obtained results.
