FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electrical engineering. Insulating frame is made of warped threaded connection and main part of fixing part. Each part is in form of outer ring and centre bar. Ring and plate are rigidly connected by ribs. Ribs of main part of insulating frame have slots in which there is a spiral tape bifilar of superconductor. Spiral bifilar is enveloped with two arched inserts fitted in peripheral slots. Slots in ribs of insulating frame are made with increasing from centre to periphery step to reduce difference of effect of ponderomotive forces on turns of bifilar of different curvature and provision of required insulation distances in current limitation.
EFFECT: technical result is faster recovery of superconducting properties of superconducting current limiter (SOT) after current limitation by increasing openness superconducting tape for liquid nitrogen with provision of stiffness of proposed structure and its stability to action of ponderomotive forces; SOT comprises insulating frame in which there is a spiral bifilar of tape with substrate and insulating tape, which is glued onto a substrate by means of a film.
