FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and is used for correction of body weight. Represents a gastric spiral consisting of tightly closed on both sides probe made in form of flexible tube and stopping plugs are made from elastic, thermolabile and pyrogenic-free silicon, two nitinol wires with pre-set shape in the form of a spiral ended with protective polyethylene tips with diameter 1.25 mm, length 870 mm, the tube has wall thickness 2.5 mm, external diameter 8 mm and length of 960 mm. Device is resistant to aggressive gastric material and peristalsis inside stomach for period up to 8 months and its installation and removal do not require total anaesthesia.
EFFECT: correction of excessive body weight.
