Additionally checking error by error classification algorithms. Comparing nature of excessively recorded displacement, speeds or excessively recorded accelerations to each other. Electronic control device for controlling movement of elevator car comprises a processor evaluating sensor output data, and depending on evaluation result an adjustment introduces a stop or torque or activates elevator car braking function. Elevator car with braking device and electronic control device comprises deflecting roller and retainer elevator cabin by first deflecting roller. Deflecting roller comprises speed or displacement sensor.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and speed of recognition of elevator movement.
