FIELD: rocket science.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerospace engineering, particularly, to simulation of combustion process of gasification products of unspent residues of liquid components of rocket fuel in tanks of spent stage carrier rocket. Method for simulating, involving introduction to experimental installation of gasification products from every tank, ignition of working mixture, measuring parameters of process, according to invention in simulating combustion process of gasification products of oxidant, analysed composition is prepared by mixing of gaseous oxidant, steam and helium, and when simulating process of combustion of fuel gasification products, analysed composition is prepared by mixing gaseous fuel and helium. Device for implementing method comprises a header, experimental tank, fuel component feed line, wherein it includes cylinders filled with products of gasification of fuel components and connected via controlled valves and throttles with collector, ignition system of gasification products.

EFFECT: invention provides expansion of experimental research methods for combustion of complex compositions, as well as reduction of costs of experimental investigations.
