FIELD: radio.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio navigation devices and can be used for installation on an aircraft meant for search and detection of search beacons. Said result is achieved by the fact that a radio direction finder comprises an antenna unit, connected to a receiver via a switching center, the receiver output is connected to a frequency detector connected through a phase shifter with a selective filter tuned to the frequency of a complete cycle of antennas switching, while its output is connected to the first input of the synchronous detector, the second input of which is connected to a reference voltage generator connected to the switching center; herewith, the antenna unit consists of four nondirectional antennas forming two mutually perpendicular bases of sector scanning, one of which is the measurement base, and the other one is an additional base intended for elimination of ambiguity of measurements, besides, the radio direction finder also includes a timer for switching of two bases and a unit for analyses of unambiguity of bearing designed for comparison of polarity of signals received from the two bases, with subsequent determination of true values of the bearing in the whole sector; at that, the analysis unit is connected to the output of the synchronous detector and, via the control input - to the timer for switching of the two bases, and, via the output - to the bearing indicator, while the timer for switching of the two bases is connected to the control input of the switching center.

EFFECT: achieved technical result is increased accuracy of bearing measurement in the sector with a direction to a search beacon.
