FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: present invention can be used for mounting burner and/or injector panel apparatus through a round opening in the projecting cooling panel of an electric arc furnace. Panel apparatus includes a horizontal flange, a main body, extending downward from the flange along the axis of the main body at an angle to the vertical axis of the above flange, wherein the connected flange and main body have cylindrical chamber extending between their top and bottom ends, and a burner and/or injector. Connected flange and main body are lowered though the round opening in the projecting cooling panel, wherein the flange rests on the horizontal plate with a vertical opening that has the size corresponding to the size of the opening on the projecting cooling panel; a target area of the melting bath of the furnace is chosen, then at least one of the flames, oxygen jet and carbon particles stream are infected into it, and the connected flange and main body are turned until the burner and/or injector will point to the target area.
EFFECT: invention allows to create optimally cooled panel apparatus located in the drain region of the furnace, to enable easy mounting and dismounting without furnace downtime.
