FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to treatment of aluminium-containing material, particularly to extraction of rare-earth elements from aluminium-containing material. Method includes steps in which is performed leaching of aluminium-containing material acid to produce extract, including at least one ion of aluminium, at least one ion of iron, at least one rare-earth element, and solid substance and extract separation from solid matter. Method also involves stages, in which selectively removed at least one of at least one aluminium ion and at least one iron ion of extract and optionally residue is obtained. Method also includes stage, in which selectively removed at least one rare-earth element from extract and/or precipitate.
EFFECT: enabling extraction of rare-earth elements from various aluminium-containing materials.
