FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: methods include leaching of red mud using HCl with producing the leaching product containing the first metal ions, for example aluminium, and solid substance. Then the said solid substance is separated from the said leaching product. Wherein from the leaching product other metals are extracted, for example, Fe, Ni, Co, Mg, rare-earth elements, rare metals. From the solid substance other components are extracted, for example, TiO2, SiO2.
EFFECT: possibility of processing of the red mud being waste of aluminium industry with production of clean products and metals.
