FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to improvements in chemistry, related to production of aluminium oxide by extraction of aluminium form materials and/or titanium oxide by extraction of titanium from materials containing titanium. Said methods can also be effective in production of other products, such as hematite, MgO, silicon oxide and oxides of different metals, titanium chloride, as well as rare-earth elements and aluminium. Said methods can include leaching of initial material using HCl to obtain product of leaching and solid substance. Solid substance may be processed to provide thereby essentially selective extraction of titanium from said solid substance, while the leaching product may be processed to ensure essentially selective extraction of the first metal chloride from said leaching product.
EFFECT: concentration of rare-earth elements to very high purity using combined steps of method, as well as for selective removal of components, which provides concentration of rare-earth elements till very high concentrations.
