FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic devices, particularly, to floating powered self-lifting drilling platforms for exploration of hydrocarbon deposits on shallow sea water areas. Self-lifting floating drilling platform with low draft includes housing with upper deck, bottom, side walls equipped with along all or part of side walls outside body compartments buoyancy, does not reach upper deck, and supports with lifting mechanism. Bottom surface of buoyancy compartments is recessed on 0.3…0.5 m below bottom of self-lifting drilling platform. Buoyancy compartments are made detachable. Outer perimeter of buoyancy compartments is oval in their lateral cross section.
EFFECT: reduced yield, higher buoyancy and sea platform characteristics, reduced load on support platform, prevention of damage to the bottom of platform, reduced windage and catchment area in case of precipitation.
