FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for temperature measurement while grooving abrasive disks by means of tools from superhard materials using artificial thermocouple installed on crystal face. Method suggests oscillographic testing of thermocouple output signals. They are used to define temperature values which are approximated by function subsequently extrapolated till cutting zone. Herewith, temperature values are fixed which correspond to period of running single-point tools equipped with crystals made of super-hard materials of different length.
EFFECT: high accuracy and reliability of determining contact temperature.
