SUBSTANCE: method of calculating interval of repeated determination of content categories of network resource, comprising: a) analysing content of network resource, analysing content of separate pages of said network resource; link between separate pages of said network resource; link to other network resources; b) determining, based on results of analysis, at least two categories of content of said network resource, wherein first category is defined as safe or unsafe, second category is defined as undesirable for browsing by users or neutral on content; c) steps "a" and "b" are performed at least one more time; d) based on categories determined at steps "a", "b" and "c", calculating probability of changing at least one category of content of said network resource; e) based on calculated probability of changing content categories, calculating interval of repeated determination of categories of content of said network resource.

EFFECT: reduced load on computing resources when determining category of network resource.
