FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to point-of-sale terminals. Classifying device for identification of goods in automated point-of-sale terminal comprises: a storage unit configured to store digital control of signatures, each of which corresponds to name of commodity, and a processor connected to storage unit, device additionally comprises classifying spectroscopic sensor, which is connected to processor and is configured to determine measured signature of commodity when said commodity is placed in front of weight sensor, on it or after it, wherein processor compares measured signature with digital control signature in order to identify commodity as commodity in storage unit, wherein said spectroscopic sensor represents a sensor of near-infrared region, to measure optical radiation with wavelength in range from approximately 850 nm to about 2,500 nm.
EFFECT: technical result is creation of improved classification point-of-sale terminal device to provide effective identification of goods.
