FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: method for controlling lateral inclination of gun using scope sight consists in following. Glass carriage of scope sight has cavity, in particular toroidal cavity, wherein optically opaque body is placed, e.g. mercury droplet, freely movable within cavity. Body volume is selected such that in horizontal position of scope sight body occupies some part of sight vision field, but not shadows grid elements when aiming. When aiming, shot orients vertical and/or horizontal line(s) of sight grid so that it/they divided body into equal parts. In alternative embodiment, solid body can further be placed into toroidal cavity of scope sight with pointed projection, whereupon vertical line of sight grid is oriented.
EFFECT: material of solid body is selected with lower density than mercury, therefore it will float upon drop mercury.
