FIELD: tobacco industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to smoking article with a filter comprising a first region of filtration material for removing particulate matter from a smoke stream, wherein smoking article is arranged to enhance heat transfer towards first region of filtration material, a second region of filtration material downstream of first region and of lower filtration efficiency than filtration efficiency of first region of filtration material, and a structure to cool smoke stream downstream of first region of filtration material prior to entry into second region.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing control of smoke temperature distribution.
