FIELD: measurement technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investigation of wettability of surfaces in various industries, and can be used for validation of working concentrations of wetting agents, used for fire extinguishing. This invention also relates to measurement equipment, used for analysis of wetting of porous materials with aqueous solutions. Method of determination of wettability of solid porous materials wetted with aqueous solutions by measuring capillary pressure of wetting. Method includes work with analysed porous fabric and aqueous solution of surfactant. In order to measure capillary pressure measurement is performed by compensation of wetting pressure, which occurs at contact of sealed vessel with porous filter. Analysed fabric or another porous material is being pressed to sealed vessel. At that, capillary pressure of wetting is determined by water pressure gauge which is connected to air duct of syringe. Position of syringe stem is changed. Analysed fabric is pressed to measuring porous filter due to synchronous movement of plungers of two syringes connected by flexible tube filled with water.

EFFECT: easy determination of wettability of solid porous materials wetted with aqueous solutions without using special devices.
