FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to environmental analytical chemistry. Method involves collecting of 2-4 g samples, their drying, milling and double extraction of target components by dichloromethane under impact on the sample of ultrasonic oscillations, filtering of the combined extract and evaporation to dryness at a pressure not exceeding 0.1 mm Hg. and at a temperature of 65-70 °C, processing of 2 cm3 extract by 2 % alcohol solution of caustic soda at a temperature of 60-65 °C during 60 minutes, after which one adds to the extract distilled water, twice extracts target components with dichloromethane, purifies the combined extract on a cartridge filled with silica gel and anhydrous sodium sulphate, after which evaporates it to dryness, while the dry residue is dissolved in 1 cm3 of four-carbon chloride and divided into two equal parts. One part is used to determine general hydrocarbons by infrared spectrometry, while the second part is dried and blown by nitrogen. Dry residue in redissolved in acetonitrile and used to determine the content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by the method of reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography in gradient elution mode using fluorescent detection.
