FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in welding by consumable electrode of plates with thickness of up to 60 mm and more made of copper alloys, particularly, of chromium bronze, using glass acid fluxes. During preparation of charge materials in the process of production of flux 34SiO2-10Al2O3-10MnO-0.6Mn2O3-15MgO-1TiO2-3CaO-CaF2 use is made of pure manganese oxide MnO2. Melting of charge components is carried out in an electric resistance furnace at 1,200-1,280 °C. Melt is held for 1-2 h. Then it is poured onto the surface of the metal mold in an amount of not more than 22 kg per square meter.
EFFECT: method provides for guaranteed stable quality of weld joints.
