FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a device for inputting radiation dose distribution in irradiation target volume, as well as to a method of irradiation, corresponding to device radiation. Disclosed device (11) comprises accelerating device (27) for providing beam (15) of particles for irradiating target volume (13), scanning device (25, 23) for modifying properties of beam in beam (15) of particles, so that during operation of accelerating device (11) beam (15) of particles is successively directed into different points in preset volume (19) of scanning and thereby scanned by volume (19) of scanning. Scanning device (25, 23) is configured to scan volume (19) scanning along constant installed irrespective of target volume (13) scanning path and to ensure matching of injected dose distribution with target volume (13) due to that when scanning beam (15) particles along a path (21) scanning beam intensity (15) of particles is modulated.

EFFECT: enabling control and optimisation of radiation dose distribution in target volume by means of apparatus control during irradiation.
