FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical technology, in particular to the field of the direction of charged particles into the target zone within a test subject, and the particles are induced using magnetic resonance imaging. Medical apparatus contains a magnetic resonance imaging system for obtaining magnetic resonance data from an imaging volume, which captures at least partially a subject under study, moreover, the magnetic resonance imaging system contains a main magnet for generating a magnetic field within the scope of imaging, apparatus for producing a particle beam, having a particle beam transmission line for a beam of charged particles, including a gantry, configured for rotating around an axis of rotation (R), which is located in the longitudinal direction of the main magnet, moreover, the gantry contains at least one bending magnet for directing the particle beam to an irradiated volume within the imaging volume, active compensation coil, which is arranged to substantially surround at least the imaging volume and which is provided near an outer surface of the main magnet and outside the outer surface of the main magnet, and a control unit for controlling the active compensation coil to suppress a stray field caused by at least one bending magnet within the imaging volume, at least in the longitudinal direction of the main magnet.
EFFECT: use of the invention improves the reliability of magnetic resonance imaging.
