SUBSTANCE: invention can be used during functional check and diagnosing of power transmission line (PTS) based on the theory of multipole devices. Method consists in replacement of the entire single-wire power transmission line or one linear wire of a multi-wire power transmission line, making part of a symmetrical power system, along the whole length in combination with an accompanying linear valves and a four-pole device, in experimental determination of its longitudinal and transverse parameters. Active and reactive resistances and conductivities making part of the L-shaped equivalent circuit of the four-pole device, replacing a linear wire of a power transmission line, are determined in two experiments: idle movement and short circuit. As a result of analytical processing of the experimental data there are determined consolidated longitudinal and transverse parameters of the power transmission line.
EFFECT: increased reliability of determination of consolidated primary parameters of the power transmission line.
