REPEATER WITH MULTIPLE INPUTS AND MULTIPLE OUTPUTS (MIMO) Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC H04B7/14

Abstract RU 2591048 C1

FIELD: radio engineering and communications.

SUBSTANCE: presented is a repeater device with multiple inputs and multiple outputs (MIMO) for effective repetition of MIMO signals transmitted to multiple access wireless communication system, such as communication system of the long-term evolution (LTE) standard. Transmission channel matrix between antennae and terminal is 2×2. MIMO signals of the base station or repeater are transmitted to a working antenna using one cable, and two or more transceivers (also called downlink/uplink signal amplification units) are located in the repeater, so as to form two or more channels in one cable, wherein a part of the frequency dip and part frequency increase of at least one transceiver between two or more transceivers are separated from each other, and are located on the donor that is connected to the base station or repeater using a wire or a wireless method and the working antenna so that two or more different independent paths can form in one cable can.

EFFECT: efficient repetition of MIMO signals; reduced cost of making a repeater due to the absence of a return path in MIMO circuits.
