SUBSTANCE: invention relates to user interfaces. Technical result is achieved by receiving a gesture made through a gesture-sensitive display, determining that gesture has a start point at an edge of gesture-sensitive display and a later point not at edge, whether line is from starting point to a later point within a predetermined angle of deviation from perpendicular extending from edge, and, in response transmitting gesture to operating system associated with gesture-sensitive display.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing possibility to perform selection of user interface not visible at present moment on display by edge gesture.
